This bear is only 3" tall and made from medium-pile upholstery velvet...usually when they get this small, mohair is too difficult to use unless it has a very short nap (like 6mm). Therefore, upholstery velvet is an excellent choice among bearmakers.

What a sweet little face!!!! I LOVE making miniature bears!!! It's such a shame that the bear community has lost such interest, isn't it??? Are you still making them? I love your carrot, too! I recently started making minis again, but nothing like before. The smallest I ever did was a little under one inch, and I thought I'd go insane, but I'm so happy to have him as part of my collection and would never part with him.

Very cute~~~~

3" is about a small as I go as far as bearmaking, and I do prefer minis, beacause of the insane factor going any smaller Smile The bear community is dwindling some, but, I think, if a person's work is unique enough, it'll never go out of style (no matter what is being made). Happy bearmaking!
