garland

Poster: primgal  (see this users gallery)

This is my Christmas Tree garland. Obviously I don't have a tree this big to put it on this time of year! It's VERY long, I would have to say 30 feet or so! I cut strips of homespun and tied them down the Christmas twinkle lights. I was going to add some other things to it, but decided not to. I plan on making these for a different holidays and seasons, as well as different sizes. I will tell you it will be a LONG time before I ever do another one this long!

Thanks Smile I used probably 10 yards of fabric and I did it over the span of a couple months, but if I sat down and did just that I would have had it done in maybe a couple of weeks. Smaller strands of lights of course don't take as long to do.

That is gorgeous. How lovely that would be on a mantle.

Ok I hate to rain on the parade Sad I hate to say it, what if a blub goes out? Did you use the kind of lets that if one goes out all won't go? I hope so.
I think they are so pretty! I want to do a few.

Well to be honest with you, I did not think of that until I was almost finished *lol* but I figure it wouldn't be the end of the world to go through them all. On all my newest ones I have been using the kind that doesn't shut off all the lights because one doesn't work. Smile Thanks Kimmie!
